On January 1, 2019, I challenged myself not only to walk every day but to write about it. As an avid and long-time proponent of the benefits of walking and journaling, it only made sense for me to combine the two. I try to share a weekly journal entry here. I also post regularly on Instagram @juliasforza.
Long ago, I wrote the canning-centric What Julia Ate. I started the jam company Half-Pint Preserves in 2011, using local Hudson Valley fruit. Half-Pint won the Good Food Awards two years in a row, in 2012 and 2013. For a while, this website was called The Preserved Life and continued where What Julia Ate left off. It turned into a walking blog somewhere in 2019.
